We are excited to announce that John Kotnarowski has received both the LAS award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching for Instructional Staff, and the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
The Provost’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching is the principal award for excellence in undergraduate teaching. The award consists of an honorarium and a personalized commemorative plaque.
The LAS award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching for Instructional Staff, is an annual award to reward and honor the college's best specialized faculty.
Recipients for both awards are chosen for their sustained excellence in undergraduate teaching, positive impact on undergraduate student learning, innovative approaches to undergraduate teaching, demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and other contributions to improve undergraduate instruction.
John has served as a Lecturer in our ESL Writing Program since 2015, and has served as the Course Specialist in Undergraduate Academic Writing since 2020. We wish him congratulations on these well-deserved accolades!
