Josephine teaches beginning, intermediate, and Levantine Colloquial courses of Arabic. She also taught intermediate intensive courses in the Summer Institute for the Languages of the Muslim World (SILMW) at The University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (UIUC). Since arriving at UIUC in 2015, she regularly makes the “List of Teachers Ranked as Excellent by their Students.” Previously, she studied and taught Sociology in Lebanon. In 2015 - 2016 she developed the Arabic High School Program at UIUC. In 2018 she was certified for "Transitioning to Teaching Language Online"  in synchronous and asynchronous modes from the University of Minnesota.
