What is your title/position? How long have you worked in your position?
Director, Coordinator and advisor of the Arabic Program since 2012, Director of the Less Commonly Taught Languages Program since 2014.

What is your area of focus?
I teach different language classes in the Arabic program, many of which are content courses for more advanced students. In addition, I offer a course on Arabic language and culture. This course is required for the Minor in Arabic Studies and part of the minor plan. It is a general education course that satisfies the non-western category.

What are you working on right now?

In addition to working on continuously updating  the curricula of the Arabic program, I am actively involved in several projects that focus on teacher development. More recently, I am preparing my students to participate in a national competition hosted by QatarDebate. I am working with a team of four students from advanced Arabic language classes for this upcoming Arabic debating event. This championship will take place at Harvard University by the end of October.
