We are excited to announce that UIUC's Randall Sadler partnered with Melinda Dooly of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona as well as Müge Gündüz, Çiler Hatipoğlu, and Perihan Savas of Middle East Technical University in order to organize the International Conference on Technology-Infused Language Education (ICOTILE). This online event will take place April 17-18, 2026.
From the ICOTILE Website:
The International Conference on Technology-Infused Language Education (ICOTILE) is an international, fully online conference dedicated to research, pedagogy, and innovation in Technology-Infused Language Teaching. ICOTILE invites participants to connect globally, share locally grounded practices, and collectively shape the future of technology-infused language teaching. The conference emphasizes global collaboration, accessibility, and dialogue across educational settings, institutional types, and technological infrastructures.
Submissions are now open for Research-Focused Presentations, Pedagogy-Focused Presentations, and Poster Presentations.
ICOTILE will be conducted entirely online, using a combination of Zoom and a low-immersion virtual world designed to promote global participation while remaining accessible across bandwidth and hardware constraints.
Following the conference, attendees will have the option to submit a manuscript for consideration (via peer review) for Conference Proceedings and may also be considered for a volume of Selected Papers.
Submissions are open until March 1st, 2026. You can learn more about submitting a proposal on the ICOTILE Website.
