I am excited to explore how innovative methodologies and technology can improve test design and ensure the accuracy of language proficiency measurements.

How has your time for UIUC prepared you for this position?

I took various courses and had ample opportunities to conduct research during my time at UIUC. With strong support from my advisor, Dr. Xun Yan, and the department, I developed expertise and gained hands-on experience in language assessment and research methodologies. Additionally, collaborating with faculty and fellow students helped me hone my ability to work in interdisciplinary teams—an essential skill for the collaborative environment at Duolingo.
