Ben Evanoff, undergraduate student in the Linguistics department, has been selected to receive the Fiddler Innovation Undergraduate Student Fellowship Award from NCSA for outstanding interdisciplinary contributions to the SPIN project titled Analyzing and Visualizing Linguistic Variation in Monolingual and Bilingual Speakers. This award recognizes undergraduate students whose research at NCSA crosses over into multiple disciplines, encouraging exploration of new topics and innovation. Congratulations!
The Fiddler Fellowship Award is part of a $2 million endowment from Jerry Fiddler and Melissa Alden to the University of Illinois in support of student and faculty interdisciplinary research initiatives through the Illinois Emerging Digital Research and Education in Arts Media (eDream) Institute at National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).
