UIUC Linguists at LSRL and GALANA

The 51st Meeting of the Linguistic Symposium on Romance Languages (LSRL) will take place virtually between April 29th-May 1st. UIUC Linguistics will be represented at the conference with talk(s) by:
- José Ignacio Hualde and Jennifer Zhang. Lenition and contrastiveness: Word-final stops in Catalan.
- Daniel Stelzer. How fast did Cicero speak? The speech rate of Classical Latin verdun its Romance descendants.
The 9th bi-annual conference on Generative Approaches to Language Acquisition – North America (GALANA 2021) will take place virtually between May 7-9th. UIUC Linguistics will be represented at the conference with talk(s) by:
- Aylin Coskun Kunduz & Silvina Montrul. The L1 Acquisition of Evidentiality in Turkish: The case of older children.
