Taylor Erwin has a unique résumé for a software programmer.
rwin graduated last May with a "CS + X" degree from the UI, a fairly new option for students who want to combine computer science with another field — in his case, linguistics, or the study of human language.
A "CS + linguistics" degree makes sense for those interested in artificial intelligence and how computers understand language (think Google searches, Siri or Alexa).
"I think I found something that combines my passions," said Erwin, 23, who has always loved languages.
