Biography
I am a Fulbright Scholar, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and work as a Graduate Assistant in the Less Commonly Taught Languages (LCTL) Program. My research focuses on Computational Linguistics, mainly Artificial Intelligence and Machine Translation. I have a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from the Graduate Program of Applied Linguistics at UNISINOS University and a B.A. in English. I have experience working with the development and improvement of machine translation, lexical replacement, and bias detection models; compilation of dictionaries in digital format, and teaching English as a foreign language.
Research Interests
Areas of interest: Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Linguistics, Corpus Linguistics, Semantics and Translation.
